Scope of this Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how IT Corner ("IT Corner", "we", "us"), the developer of EdgeTrader, collects, uses, shares and protects personal data when you use the EdgeTrader desktop application, web terminal, mobile apps, websites and related services (collectively, the "Software").
The Software is a trading platform — execution, custody and account services are provided by your broker, liquidity provider or exchange, who acts as an independent controller of your trading and KYC data. This Policy covers only the data that IT Corner itself processes as a controller of the Software.
Data we collect
We process the following limited categories of personal data:
- Account & contact data — name, email address and (optionally) company name you submit through our contact, partnership or download forms.
- Device & technical data — IP address, device model, operating system, locale, application version, crash logs, performance metrics and approximate location derived from IP. This data is collected to operate the Software, secure it against abuse, and diagnose faults.
- Usage data — pages viewed on our website, buttons clicked, anonymised feature usage and aggregated analytics. We do not track individual trades.
- Cookies & similar technologies on our marketing website only — see the "Cookies" section below.
- Push-notification identifiers if you opt in to mobile notifications (e.g. APNs / FCM tokens). You can revoke this at any time in your device settings.
We do not knowingly collect data from children under the age of 16 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). If we learn that we have inadvertently done so, we will delete the data without undue delay.
Data we do not collect
IT Corner does not collect, store, hold or have access to: your broker login passwords, order history, open positions, account balances, payment cards, bank credentials, KYC documents, government IDs or any tax information. These are processed exclusively between you and your broker or its service providers. EdgeTrader transmits trading commands to your broker over secured channels; the broker is the controller of all resulting trading data.
How and why we use data
We use personal data only for the following purposes:
- to provide, operate, maintain and support the Software;
- to authenticate users, secure accounts and prevent fraud, abuse and unauthorised access;
- to respond to your enquiries, partnership requests and support tickets;
- to send service announcements such as security alerts, mandatory updates and material changes to these policies;
- to comply with legal obligations and to enforce our Terms & Conditions;
- to improve product quality through aggregated, non-identifying analytics.
Our legal bases (where the EU/UK GDPR or equivalent regimes apply) are: performance of a contract, our legitimate interests in running and securing the Software, compliance with law, and your consent where required (for example for non-essential analytics cookies or marketing communications).
Marketing communications
We send marketing emails only to recipients who have explicitly opted in or who have an existing business relationship with us where permitted by law. You can unsubscribe at any time from the link in every email or by contacting us. Transactional and security messages are not marketing and may be sent for as long as you use the Software.
International transfers
Our infrastructure and service providers may be located outside your country of residence. Where personal data is transferred internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses, adequacy decisions or equivalent legal mechanisms.
Security
We apply industry-standard administrative, technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure and destruction, including encryption in transit, hardened access controls, segregation of duties and regular security reviews. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Retention
We retain personal data only for as long as needed to fulfil the purposes set out in this Policy, to comply with legal, accounting or reporting obligations, or to defend legal claims. Operational logs are typically retained for up to 12 months; contact records are retained for the duration of our business relationship plus the period required by law.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to: access your personal data; request correction or deletion; restrict or object to processing; obtain a portable copy; withdraw consent at any time; and lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
To exercise these rights, contact us via our contact page. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law and may need to verify your identity before acting on the request.
App Store, Google Play and AppGallery disclosures
In line with Apple App Store, Google Play and Huawei AppGallery requirements:
- The Software does not sell personal data to third parties.
- The Software does not use data for advertising, profiling for advertising, or cross-app tracking.
- Permissions (camera, biometrics, notifications, storage, location) are requested only when needed for a feature you actively use, with a clear in-app explanation, and can be revoked at any time in your device settings.
- Children's data is not knowingly collected or processed; the Software is not directed at children.
Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be highlighted on this page and, where appropriate, communicated through the Software. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest revision.
